Terrified Maximus (#A4575097) slowly comes out of his shell (by swayloveorg)

What you see at the beginning here is after Maximus felt safe around Dianne. He was surrendered by his owner and is terrified and confused as to why he is in the shelter. Maximus is such a teddy bear and just wants the comfort of being close to a person… His impound identification is #A4575097. The Carson shelter is located at 216 W. Victoria St., Gardena, CA 90248. You can reach them at 310-523-9566 or 310-527-5158.

Stoic Big Moma (#A4571455) at the Carson shelter (by swayloveorg)

This sweet senior has one of the biggest tumors I’ve ever seen. It literally hangs from her stomach like a drooping organ. She is wonderfully calm and stoic through all of the current hardship that she is having to endure. Not only with the tumor, but with being dumped by her prior owner at a kill shelter after 10 years. Totally shameful! Big Moma’s impound identification is #A4571455. The Carson shelter is located at 216 W. Victoria St., Gardena, CA 90248. You can reach them at 310-523-9566 or 310-527-5158.

Girl (#A4572032) and her babies at the Carson shelter (by swayloveorg)

This sweet German Shepherd/mix was surrendered with her rather large litter of adorable puppies. She is a gentle gal and a great mom. Girl’s impound identification is #A4572032. Her puppies’ identification numbers follow #A4572032 and go up to at least #A4572048. Please do not leave the mother behind. The Carson shelter is located at 216 W. Victoria St., Gardena, CA 90248. You can reach them at 310-523-9566 or 310-527-5158

Dog found in South Los Angeles

Today while jogging along the South Los Angeles Wetlands Park I came across what looked like to be a dead dog inside the inclosed area of the park. I quickly noticed that she was breathing and when I tried calling her and I realized she could not get up. Finally, I hopped over the fence and when I approached her, she simply wagged her tail but could not stand. She has very swollen right side of her body. Her eye was almost completely shut and is encrusted with a lot of puss. While I was assessing her a jogger told my Mom that he had seen a man at least week prior throw her over the inclosed area and leave her there. Other joggers told me that they seen her walking around a week ago looking for her people but that 2 days ago she laid down in the same spot I found her in and it hadn’t looked like she moved in days. She has bloody sores from walking around the inclosed area for days. She is malnourished and is severely dehydrated. Her ears are extremely bloody and she has severe infections in both of them. He skin is extremely dry for being stuck in the inclosed area without any shade or protection from the sun. She is also walking with the a limp on her right side maybe because of the swelling.

A fund has been started to help get this girl some much needed medical attention. Please consider donating this girl deserves a healthy life.

Lancaster, CA - A4555881 - The look of DEFEAT and BETRAYAL. This is what it looks like when a dog has simply given up… This dog was abandoned and will die here if no one sees the beauty I see hidden behind the hundreds of scars on his face…. Please call the shelter at 661.940.4191 if you are interested in adopting any of the dogs I post. This shelter is a publicly funded County shelter with a high rate of ‘strays’ and ‘owner turn ins’ and therefore considered “high kill”. if you are interested in any dogs I have listed, I urge you to immediately get in touch with the shelter for their adoption procedure. I have seen it too many times where dog’s have lost their lives because someone waited just ONE day too long… When you are networking, tagging, etc. please know that rescue “Pages” do not get notifications when you ‘line-tag’ them (highlighting the page’s name in a ‘comment’). If you want a page to see a dog in need, you must post the link to the dog’s thread (highlight/copy what is in your browser) ONTO their actual page or ‘tag’ them in the actual photo! Only ‘people’ (non-pages) you line-tag will get notified, providing they have this feature not turned “OFF”.Adoption fees at this shelter are $120 or less. There is a $20 license fee which only applies if you are a local resident. All fees include vaccines, micro chip and spay/neuter. Unaltered dogs are released after their spay/neuter, unless they get a waiver due to age or health. The Lancaster, CA shelter is located at5210 W. MEDICAL Pittie owner surrender at Carson shelter needs a rescue and to see a vet. I know Pitties aren’t my breed, but this sweet boy caught my eye and my heart. He was holding up his right paw. I noticed it swollen and bite wounds on all his feet. Vet tech said no xrays so it could be either fracture or have nerve damage. Look at this sweet face. Please offer to foster for fescue and pledge for his vet needs.A4554088Carson shelter1 yr old male Pitt mix
